Fitz and Floyd was founded by Patrick Fitzpatrick and Robert C. Floyd in 1960 in Dallas, Texas a marketer and as manufacturer of fine ceramic gifts. The business has expanded into the additional categories of tabletop, decorative accessories, collectibles and home fragrance products over the last 40 years.
Fitz and Floyd was the first manufacturer to open a showroom in the Dallas Trade Mart and now has Showrooms located in the major markets across the United States including Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York. Fitz and Floyd’s products are marketed to through the finest retailers across the country.
Fitz and Floyd achieved early acclaim by designing products for the Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog in the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Stanley Marcus of Neiman Marcus and Roger Horchow of The Horchow Collection were important customers and collaborators in the development of Fitz and Floyd’s giftware lines. From giftware, the company expanded into tabletop products with the introduction of coffee mugs and salad/dessert plates. In 1972, Fitz and Floyd entered the dinnerware market with a dramatic introduction of innovative and sophisticated design collections.
